Rosie was born in Redruth and lived in Truro. She now lives in Porthtowan with her husband Charles and two Golden Retrievers. Currently she works as a freelance locum Practice Nurse.

Rosie became interested in music at an early age predominantly during the folk music era, singing and playing her guitar in chapels and concerts around the county. She was a founder member of the Folksters based in Truro. Her first introduction to musical theatre was in 1968 when she played the part of Bet in Truro Amateur Operatic Societies first production of Oliver. 1970 – 1972 Rosie was often a guest soloist with Carnon Vale Male Voice Choir and Quartet.

During 1970 she started her nurse training at RCH (Treliske) at the end of which came a few weeks at Redruth and Barncoose Hospitals when she was asked to join an entertainment group called The Silver Stars, whose main aim was raising money for local charities. For a while she joined David Clemo as a duo and found themselves singing in many concerts and winning the various county talent contests.

In 1975 Rosie married her first husband and travelled around the world on Shell Oil tankers. She was always eager to arrange parties and entertain those on board. Eventually on settling in Illogan she returned to work at Barncoose and Redruth Hospitals and enjoyed the staff concerts and entertaining the patients.

In 1998 her nursing career turned to practice nursing and 14 years were spent at Pool Health Centre, Redruth. On Christmas Eve she would entertain staff and patients in the waiting room.

In 1991 Rosie joined Redruth Amateur Musical and Pantomime Society, Porthtowan Players and Carharrack Players, having many principle roles and solos. In 1996 she became a member of Balanced Harmony Choir, its main objective was to raise money for charity.

In 2002 she rejoined RAOST and was involved in the spectacular tent show Jesus Christ Superstar in Boscawen Park, Truro. Other shows with RAOST included Me & My Girl, Thank you for the music 1 & 2, The Sound Of Music where she played the role of Sister Margaretta at the Hall for Cornwall, Titanic the Musical at the Hall for Cornwall and Minack Theatre. Rosie was also involved with co-ordinating the props for Titanic.

At present she is a member of the Rainbow Singers, an 8 piece group who raise money for charity around the county, and RAOST Singers where she is frequently a featured soloist. She remains a very active member and general committee member of RAOST and is currently involved with props and costumes as well as on stage for their next production of Annie Get Your Gun at the Hall for Cornwall.
